Yea, it probably cost $500 or more . These things are always to much for what they are.
Yay, more expensive rubbish!
I’m dumbfounded that my generation continues to hold that hard onto childhood.
Looks cute but I am not a big Tails fan. Plus no space.
@CurryPowderKeg79 Yeah their stuff is for a special breed of collector, that's for sure. Even if price wasn't an issue, I don't know where I would put most of it.
@CurryPowderKeg79 Stop being so cheap! Instead of investing that 500$ in games and consoles; Spend it on a small statue that you will admire for about 5 minutes before letting it sit in a corner and collect dust because you forget it's existence.
I'm still paying off my last order from them, and my shelf space is limited besides
It looks nice, but the price for these kinds of things are always too rich for my blood. I recently bought Christmas tree ornaments of both Sonic and Tails, so that will be enough for now in that regard.
I'd prefer a 15 dollar amiibo of this dude
@aznable why not let people enjoy what they want
Everything except for that weird plate with bulbs please
@ComfyAko I'm not stopping anyone from doing anything. Maybe I'm convincing some poor soul on the edge of an "oh maybe this will finally make me happy" purchase to re-evaluate their situation, and realize that they don't miss the STUFF from their childhood but rather their childhood itself.
They've been chasing this dragon for so long; that feeling you get as a child - the feeling of everything being novel, stressless, and adventurous - that they've wasted hundreds if not thousands of dollars/pounds/euros on fruitless pursuits, vanities, and distractions. In the evening of their life, when they look back on their healthy, youthful adult years, will they regret having squandered them on acquiring plastic baubles? A house full of soulless dolls, offering neither affection nor the satisfaction of having regained childhood wonder...
Though again, I'm not stopping anybody from doing anything.
@aznable I get what you mean, I really really do. I find myself partaking in this fruitless endeavor of searching for better times through intricate toys, figures, games and songs. Of course it doesn't work, of course. It will never work and a part of me is fully aware of it. Yet I keep starting a new game in pokemon Blue, I keep gathering the 00s hits, and I keep a cabinet full of my manga. I even play the games I missed out on in my childhood and thus I fulfil my lost wish of completing it after seeing them in a colorful magazine bought in the same newspaper stand right in the middle of my neighborhood.
I do it all because even though I know it is futile, the search itself is invigorating, it keeps me attached to those better days. I'm on a brink of buying a dvd with a fraction of "Familiar of Zero" anime for super inflated price not because I hope to get it all, I just want to feel the way I did when I discovered anime and watched it all to no end. I am always a bit disappointed when the feeling goes away, but until then, I genuinely feel happy. It's not about catching the rabbit, the fun is in chasing it and hopping after it.
Is it really a waste if it makes you happy? Also, I spent way too long thinking about how to live so that I won't regret it in the evening of my life, and I came to one simple conclusion - in the end the only thing you'll regret is that you won't have more time. Also, it's not like buying and setting a figure on a stand will take much of your time, 10 minutes at best.
The figures won't offer affection, but then again, what will?
@ComfyAko ... friends? Good story though.
@aznable sure and thank you
this is so cute..now waiting for playable Tails in Frontiers and my life is complete..
Tails looks so adorable here.
Too bad I can't buy it because it's too expensive.
I just want Tails to be playable in Frontiers. And hopefully a patch for Origins that would allow to play as Sonic & Tails together in Sonic 1 like in the 2013 iOS remaster.
And also an amiibo of Tails.
Looks cool, but I think my limit for buying any statue is around the €100 mark. I've gotten some cool ones for €60 or €70 that look great in my Game Room.
Hang on, let me check my lottery numbers.
.. Nope, not this week.
Rip off. Probably cost 50p to make
Very detailed as expected from this company but I am kind of past the statue collecting phase in my life and would barely want to spend 15 bucks on a statue, let alone these prices. There is a premium subset of people who enjoy collecting pricey statues like these though.
