Stardust

So here’s something I haven’t done on this blog yet, even though it’s all over my Instagram: makeup looks! This one is inspired by a drink I saw at Chatime Canada called Peachy Swirl. The drink is made with butterfly pea tea which is a deep mightnight blue, until you add acid to it – then it turns purple! Add in some shimmer, and you’ve got yourself a drink that looks like stardust! Cool, huh?

Unfortunately, that’s where the cool stuff ends. I was hoping they wouldn’t mix the tea together so we can see the pretty color-changing effect, but it was served like this. Still cool, just not *as* cool. And the tea itself? It kinda sucked! It was okay at first, but it left a weird metallic, seafoody aftertaste. Not what I look for in a drink!

I’m still curious though, so I’ll probably end up trying another flavor just for fun since it’s a limited edition drink. And it’s only available only in Chatime Canada for the winter, if I’m not mistaken!

  • this is one of my favorite looks from you! at first i thought ‘why is the picture blurry?’ but maybe you’re doing it on purpose?? haha i’m still confused. regardless, love the look! the drink, though, sounds kind of uh, nope. it reminds me of fancy starbucks frappuccinos like their unicorn frappuccino which is pretty and all but tasted gross.

    • Haha, it’s actually the camera cause my default setting is to the lowest f stop – not so great for eye closeup sometimes! Omg people either loved or hated the unicorn frap, I haven’t tried it myself so there’s not a lot I can say about it besides it looks cute!

  • This looks amazing! You need to do a tutorial on this.

Such a pretty look! Too bad the tea wasn’t tasting so good though. I’ve been wanting to check out Chatime for a while now.

  • Such a gorgeous makeup look, Becky!! Stardust is the perfect name for it!

  • Heck yeah you can! I started off by wearing just a pop of color in my neutral eye looks and now I’m all about the color everywhere!

  • This look is incredible! I never wear non-neutral shadows, but I still watch colourful tutorials and totally appreciate the work and technique that goes into creating something like this. And I love that it was inspired by the Chatime drink, although it sucks that it didn’t actually taste any good, haha. Seafood taste – no thank you!

    • non-neutrals are my jammm, haha. funnily enough the classic neutral/red lips pairing is out of /my/ comfort zone cause I rarely do my makeup like that. I didn’t get a chance to try the other ones, though – maybe it’s a blessing in disguise!

  • First of all, you’re a beauty! Secondly, how cool is that look? I would totally try to recreate it, the blue makes brown eyes pop! Love xx

    • thank you <3 do itttt! tag me on instagram if you do, I'd love to see it! 😀
