I’m kind of the worst at writing these little beginning paragraphs – I can smash the entire body out in a sitting, but the first paragraph? Days. Sometimes I feel like writing something half-assed for this paragraph, and today is one of those days. Now that you’re all aware of that, here are some of the little minis I’ve been trying out recently.
If you don’t know already, I always shit on Bioderma. I’ve used Bioderma in the past, but then I discovered the Garnier Micellar water and never looked back. They both worked the same for me, except the Garnier one isn’t as expensive or as drying. I had this little bottle of Bioderma laying around that’s been untouched for a while, so I thought I’d use it up anyway. (Roughly translates to: I ran out of the Garnier micellar water and was too lazy to go out to buy a new one. Then I discovered this sitting in one of my drawers by chance.) Now that I’m using it again, I noticed it does a slightly better job at removing my makeup – including waterproof mascara! I still need to take the last stubborn bits off with oil, though.
Everyone and their mothers are saying great things about the Sunday Riley UFO Oil, so I wanted to give it a try, too. It’s a treatment catered towards people with acne-prone skin, and ya girl doesn’t have acne-prone skin. I just wanted to jump on the bandwagon, okay?! I’m secretly hoping that it’ll help with the discoloration around my nose and mouth though. Something tells me I should pass this off to my sister, since she’s exactly the target audience. We’ll see how it goes. I’m not a big fan of the scent, but it comes from the actual ingredients themselves since the list of ingredients don’t include fragrance. Unless one of the ingredients is used as fragrance…
If real rose petals infused in the Fresh Rose Face Mask doesn’t scream luxury, I don’t know what does. It’s more of a gel formula so it doesn’t dry down, and it smells like a rose jam. As luxurious as it sounds though, I’m not sure if this actually does anything for my skin. If I was made of money, I’d purchase this just because it makes me feel good (anyone else feel that way about skincare sometimes?). It’s a gentle mask though, and you don’t need much either – I’m wondering if I’ll get better results from using this daily or every other day.
Oooh boy, where do I even begin with the Urban Decay Highlighting Fluid in Sin?! I put a pretty hefty amount on just-moisturized skin in the usual places you’d put highlighter. With a little help from my fingers to blend, it leaves such a dewy glow! I don’t use foundation, and I prefer how it looks under makeup versus on top – for some reason the latter looks a lot patchier.
I’ve been seeing the Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream just about everywhere! It’s a lot thicker than I expected it to be, and I actually needed a little bit of facial spray to make it into a more workable viscosity. The scent reminds me a little bit of tiger balm, though it’s not as pungent. I don’t think it’s something I’d purchase on my own just because it’s so darn thick, and doesn’t provide enough hydration for my skin on its own.
